The name of the 44-year-old man killed in a collision on Highway 8 earlier this week has been released.
Police say David Torbet from Stratford was killed in a collision that happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday on the highway just east of Stratford.
They say they got reports that an eastbound sedan lost control and was struck by a westbound pickup truck.
Torbet, who police say was driving the sedan, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead while the 68-year-old man who was driving the truck was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
