Stratford Hockey Legend Dinny Flanagan Passes Away

Stratford has lost a hockey legend.

The Stratford Warriors shared the news Monday morning that Dinny Flanagan has passed away.

He’s being remembered as a great hockey player, manager and a great man in general.

Most of his playing career was spent in Stratford but Flanagan also played for the Kitchener Dutchmen and he was also a member of the famous Flick, Roth and Flanagan line that played with the Lethbridge Maple Leafs who toured Europe en route to the world championships in 1951.

He served as manager of the Stratford Cullitons from 1975 until 1996 winning ten league titles and five O.H.A. championships.

He was 88.
