Stratford Police searching for vehicle involved in hit and run with pedestrian

Stratford Police are on the hunt for a vehicle connected to a hit and run involving a pedestrian.

They say a man was walking in the Railway Avenue and Walnut Street area around 12:45 p.m. Thursday when he was struck by a red, two-door vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle didn’t stop, according to police, and the vehicle was last seen traveling east on Walnut Street.

According to police, the victim called them to report the incident but said he didn’t need an ambulance and that he was sore and shaken up but not seriously injured.

He wasn’t able to provide a clear description of the vehicle and police searched the area but weren’t able to find out anything else.

Police are asking the driver to come forward to help provide some closure to the victim and they are urging anyone with information on what happened to call them.
