We are learning about a deadly collision that left a 26-year-old St.Paul’s man dead.
Around 7:30 Saturday morning, Huron County OPP and other first responders were called out to a single-vehicle crash on Whalen Line, east of Highway 4, near Centralia.
Police say a witness had found a “completely destroyed” vehicle in a farmer’s field and officers determined after investigating that the driver was traveling west at a high speed when the vehicle left the road.
They say the vehicle collided with two trees and rolled several times.
Zachary Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem was scheduled to take place Sunday.
