St.Marys man faces firearms-related charges after incident over the weekend

A 26-year-old St.Marys man faces charges after police say he threatened to kill a victim with a firearm.

Around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, police say the man was at the victim’s home in St.Marys helping her move when he got mad at her and pulled out a handgun, pointing it at the victim and threatening to shoot.

They say the victim was able to walk out of the home without incident and she then called the police.

An officer came and found the man outside the home and he was arrested and brought to police headquarters.

Police say the handgun was found in the home and it was determined to be a handgun-style BB gun.

The man has been charged with several firearms-related offenses as well as utter threats of death to the victim.
