Local soccer players support ‘Strides for Sarah’

The Stratford City Football Club turns 20-years-old this season.

To celebrate, the soccer players are helping a local six-year-old beat her illness.

The team has worn stridesforsophie.ca on their shirts during soccer games to raise funds and awareness for Sarah Hamza’s situation.

Coach Kenny Murphy describes how you can donate.

Hamza suffers from Sanfilippo Syndrome.

The Stratford City Football Club took part in a fundraising run around the Avon River Saturday and helped raise over $25,000 for the Sanfilippo Children’s Research Foundation.
