The operating rooms at the Clinton Public Hospital are temporarily closed.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says the closure is a result of unexpected damages to the ceiling of the second floor of the hospital with construction work now started and the repairs expected to last around 12 weeks.
They say patients impacted will be contacted with details of an alternate schedule and additional space for the majority of surgical procedures available at the Stratford General Hospital.
The remaining procedures will be postponed and rescheduled when the Clinton Public Hospital Operating Rooms reopen.
All other services at the hospital in Clinton are unaffected.
