Our area saw a slight increase in the unemployment rate last month.
The Four County Labour Market says the Stratford-to-Bruce Peninsula saw an unemployment rate of 3.7 percent in December.
That’s up 0.1 percent from November.
Employment decreased by 1,900 in full and part-time work in the area with the biggest losses in agriculture, construction, and the services-producing sector.
Provincially, the unemployment rate went down 0.3 percentage points to 4.9 percent.
