A 13-year-old St. Marys boy learned the hard way that a bicycle can be stolen in a matter of minutes.
He contacted the Perth County OPP Saturday afternoon.
He had left his bike in front of the Video 99 variety store on Queen Street East while he was inside.
When he came out only a few minutes later, the bike was gone.

Police say it serves as yet another reminder to lock up your bike when leaving it in public and make sure you copy down its serial number.
