Police searching for driver involved in hit and run collision in Stratford

Stratford Police say they’re trying to track down a driver involved in a hit and run collision.

They say the collision happened around 3:45 p.m. Thursday on Walsh Crescent in Stratford when a vehicle was seen going off the roadway where it struck a light standard.

Police say the driver stopped briefly before driving away from the scene and due to the collision, the light standard was damaged with the light being broken off and wires being exposed.

According to police, a witness described the vehicle as a small blue pick-up truck, similar to a Toyota.

The driver of the truck appeared to be a younger white male and it’s believed he was alone in the vehicle which should have damage to its front end.

If you know anything about what happened you’re asked to call the police.
