Officials in St.Marys are keeping a close eye on the Emily Street underpass.
They say public works are monitoring the road conditions near the underpass due to ongoing reports and observations of surface water creating ice in the area.
Staff is frequently applying de-icing material and scraping the road surface to improve conditions.
The town is investigating the source of the surface water in the area and inspection of local sub-drainage systems is scheduled for next week.
Officials say traffic control measures will be in effect when the inspection takes place.
