Police: Keep safety in mind if you’re hosting a Super Bowl party

Police are reminding you to keep safety in mind if you’re planning on heading to a Super Bowl party.

With the championship game between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams set for Sunday, police say you must make sure you have a safe and responsible way to and from the party.

In Woodstock, police will be holding R.I.D.E. programs and if you’re hosting a get together you’re reminded to take steps like providing guests with plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, never pressure guests to consume alcohol or drugs and have plenty of food available.

You should also arrange for alternate transportation for anyone who has consumed alcohol or drugs.

In Stratford, police will be keeping a close watch out on Sunday for anyone they believe might be driving while impaired.
