Solar energy rising as wind turbine opposition mounts

As Huron County braces for a legal battle over wind turbines, a local company is pressing ahead with solar energy projects.

SWEAR, HEAT, and HALT are fighting against the construction of wind farms near Goderich, St. Columban and Kincardine.

They are getting their Divisional Court appeals co-joined.

However, Paul Hawthorne with Solar Dynamics says there is also some great opportunities for home owners.

Hawthorne says solar panels are a safe way to make money and help the environment.
