It’s becoming easier to travel around Canada without having to drive very far to do it.
The London International Airport recently announced that they now have domestic service to Abbotsford British Columbia, Halifax and Edmonton through the airport’s new ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop Airlines.
That, along with direct service being introduced this summer with Air Canada Rouge to Calgary, means the airport has service to almost every part of the country.
Lauren Stafford is the Business Development and Marketing Manager for the London International Airport and she says the addition in services is being welcomed by those across our area.
“It’s so close and I mean we’re saving people that really long trip on the highway, the stress of having to navigate, the highway traffic that’s becoming worse and worse kind of going into the GTA area.”
Stafford adds that her airport is emerging in Southwestern Ontario as the gateway airport.
