The future of fire dispatching services in the area could soon be clearer.
At their meeting, Wednesday afternoon, Stratford’s Infrastructure, Transportation and Safety Sub-committee is set to vote on a recommendation from city staff to approve the extensions and renewals for fire dispatching services with Perth East, West Perth,
North Perth, St.Marys/Perth South, Goderich, Huron East, and Central Huron/Bluewater.
Mayor Dan Mathieson and the City Clerk would be authorized to execute the renewal.
Another recommendation from city staff on concerns from Waterloo Street to Romeo Street South is also on the agenda.
Staff is recommending that the city use the portable speed display sign on Douro Street at various locations and intervals throughout the year.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:30 at Stratford City Hall and it’s open to the public.
