It’s another hard lesson learned for a driver in Stratford.
Just before 7:00 yesterday morning Stratford Police were called to a home on Shrewsbury Street. A driver had left a green 2009 Subaru Forester idling in the driveway with no one in it. The SUV was stolen. The Ontario licence plate number on the vehicle is CHDN252.
Police ask that you keep an eye out for the vehicle but do not follow it or approach anyone in it. Instead, call the police immediately.
SPS is again reminding motorists that it is very important not to leave a vehicle unlocked and idling with the keys inside. It provides a perfect crime of opportunity for thieves.
