Avon West dispute headed to OMB

A dispute over the Avon West subdivision in Stratford is headed to the Ontario Municipal Board.

The issue at hand is a proposed zoning change.

Bromberg Homes wants to sell more semis, which deviates from their original plan for single family homes.

That proposal has angered people who have bought into the subdivision based on the original plan.

City council voted against the proposal last night.

The vote was prompted by Bromberg’s appeal to the OMB, which came after council failed to make a decision on the matter within 120 days.
