Green Earth announces closure of twenty-nine locations including one in Stratford

Another store at the Festival Marketplace Shopping Mall in Stratford is closing its doors.

Green Earth, based out of London, has announced it started liquidation sales on March 9th with all of its 29 locations across Ontario closing soon.

The Canadian owned stores sell products including candles, jewelry, and other home decor items and they started the business in 1990.

Several “uncontrollable factors” are being credited by the company behind the decision including growing competitive pressure from online players.

Last month, Payless Shoes announced its closing its 248 Canadian stores, including one at the mall in Stratford.
