Stratford will be testing out a crossing guard at the corner of Nile and Ontario.
Council agreed to the trial period at Monday night’s meeting.
City staff was also directed to investigate the cost of installing a sidewalk in the area.
The decision comes after the city heard complaints from parents about children having to cross there to get to school.
There are no traffic lights at that intersection.
