Perth County OPP watching rural intersections during “Stop and Look” campaign

Perth County OPP are keeping a close watch on rural intersections.
The force says they are increasing their presence on Perth County roads this week as they conduct another “Stop and Look” campaign.
They say the campaign is designed to enforce traffic laws at over 1,150 rural intersections across Perth County, most of which aren’t controlled by stop signs.
The campaign runs until Sunday and officers are targeting a number of intersections where collisions are likely to happen, often due to distracted driving.
The “Stop and Look” campaign started in 2011, a year before a collision involving a minivan and a transport truck in Hampstead left 11 people dead.
