Tillsonburg man faces charges after police say he was caught shoplifting

A 37-year-old Tillsonburg man faces numerous charges after police say he was caught shoplifting at a business in North Perth.

Around 3:30 last Saturday afternoon, Perth County OPP say they were called to the business and, once on scene, the man fled at a high rate of speed in a Sedan when approached by officers.

Through their investigation, police say they identified the man and a warrant for his arrest was issued, and he was arrested with the assistance of Oxford County OPP.

He faces charges including Theft Under $5 thousand-Shoplifting, Flight from peace officer and two counts of Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He’s scheduled to appear in court in Stratford Friday.
