Antonio Cimolino to stay on as Artistic Director at Stratford Festival until 2024

A familiar face will be staying on for an extra two years at the Stratford Festival.
The festival has announced that Artistic Director Antonio Cimolino has been asked to stay in the position until 2024.
The move comes as the festival announced a surplus of $1.9 million for the 2018 season, its longest season on record, and the sixth consecutive surplus the festival has seen under Cimolino.
The festival also announced at their Annual General Meeting on Friday that they saw a 10 percent increase in attendance in 2018 with total revenue for the season coming out at $65,8 million, up 8 percent from 2017.
This is Cimolino’s 32nd year with the festival, taking over as Artistic Director in 2013.
