Woodstock Police say a 17-year-old male from the city has died following a suspected drug overdose.
Police say just before 8 o’clock Saturday morning they, along with Oxford EMS, received a report that a youth had overdosed.
They say he was transported to the Woodstock General Hospital where he was pronounced dead Monday of the suspected overdose.
Police in Woodstock say between Friday and Saturday, they responded to six separate suspected drug overdoses in the city.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Branch and the Drug and Intelligence Unit are continuing to investigate the youth’s death and they are also working with other agencies surrounding the community that had other related incidents over the weekend.
