Charges wont be laid in vehicle fire near Wildwood Conservation Area

A 27-year-old man won’t be charged in connection to a vehicle fire near the Wildwood Conservation Area.
The Stratford Beacon Herald reports that it comes after a crown attorney said that she felt the man would be a good candidate for the direct accountability program after speaking with his defence lawyer.
Crown attorney Mary Potter told a judge in Stratford this week that the man has already met with a community justice worker from the local Salvation Army correctional and justice services and completed tasks assigned.
Firefighters were called out to Line 15, around two kilometers east of Highway 7, around 5:45 a.m. back on December 13th and found a Kia Soul engulfed in flames with a license plate preserved.
The man from London was arrested later at a home in St.Marys.
