Perth-Wellington MPP praises PGA tournament winner from Listowel

“The entire community of North Perth is overjoyed by his win.”
That’s what MPP for Perth-Wellington, Randy Pettapiece, is saying about Corey Conners from Listowel who won the PGA’s Valero Texas Open on Sunday.
Pettapiece spoke about Connor’s win in the Ontario Legislature on Monday, calling it a “historic victory.”
Connors made three birdies in the final five holes, shooting a 6-under 66 finishing 20-under for the tournament.
He is the first Monday qualifier to win on a PGA Tour since 2010.
With the win, Connors also claimed a spot in the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, which begins Thursday.
