Seaforth man faces numerous charges after police say he fled from officers

A 30-year-old Seaforth man faces numerous charges after police say he fled from officers.
Huron County OPP say an officer saw the driver of a dirtbike not stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Hensall Road and Tile Road near Seaforth around 12:45 Tuesday afternoon.
They say the officer was able to pull up alongside the driver and when they tried to stop them the suspect took off on his bike and drove into a muddy farmer’s field.
The driver only made it about 150 feet before he got stuck in the mud and he abandoned the bike and the property he was carrying running away on foot.
Police set up containment around the farmer’s field and with the help of the property owner and the OPP canine unit police found the suspect around two hours later laying in the mud.
After searching the property dropped by the suspect police seized a backpack that contained break-in tools and brass knuckles.
The suspect faces charges including Possession of break-in instruments and Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.
While police were trying to catch the suspect they say another suspect on a dirt bike fled from them and investigators are still searching for that driver and a suspect.
