Local paramedics union wants more information on Ford government’s plans for ambulance services

The union representing paramedics in Perth County wants more details on what the Ontario government is planning for ambulance services.
On Saturday night, CUPE 4514 posted on Facebook that there were only two paramedic trucks available to service the entirety of Perth County at times because of how busy it was.

They say that in the coming months it’s important to ask Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece and Ontario Premier Doug Ford what service restructuring and potential reductions could mean for rural areas like Perth County.
The post comes after the Ford government announced last week that emergency health services won’t be negatively affected and no paramedics will lose their jobs as Ontario looks at merging the provinces various ambulance services.
