Stratford Police are warning you about a scam targetting victims involving the carbon tax rebate.
Police say if you get a telephone call from anyone offering you help or incentives with the tax rebate you shouldn’t give them any personal information.
Instead, they say you should hang up the phone and report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
The office of Perth-Wellington MP John Nater confirms to My Stratford Now.com that this is a scam and they have received several telephone calls from constituents reporting it.
