West Perth man charged after collision involving train east of Mitchell

A collision between a pickup truck and a train east of Mitchell has lead to a 65-year-old West Perth man being charged.

Perth County OPP say first responders were called out to the scene of the collision involving a pickup truck and a train on Road 160 around 3:30 p.m. last Monday.

Police say the truck was travelling south on Road 160 and the slow-moving train was travelling east.

They say the male driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was brought to a local hospital as a precaution.
