City of Stratford looking for input on vision statement

You’re being asked for your help when it comes to coming up with a vision statement for housing and homelessness in Stratford.

The city’s social services department is in the process of reviewing its 10-year Housing and Homelessness Plan for Stratford, Perth County and St.Marys and based on feedback they say they have received from the community, they are revising the vision statement of the plan to be more clear and concise.

The department is looking at three different options for a new vision statement.

The three options are:

Option 1: Everyone has the right to a home that is safe, suitable, and affordable, and to supports that help them keep their home.

Option 2: In our commitment to ending homelessness, everyone has the right housing at the right time and with the right supports.

Option 3: A community where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring, and everyone has a safe and suitable place to live.
