A well-known figure in Canadian politics is paying a visit to Stratford.
Peter Mackay, who served over 18 years in parliament including time as Attorney General and Minister of Justice as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs, will be the guest of honour at an event Saturday afternoon.
It’s being put on by Perth-Wellington MP John Nater and the Perth-Wellington Conservative Association and it’s being held at Revival House with tickets being sold.
Organizers say MacKay will be giving his perspective on current events in Canada.
