Over $2 million in funding for mental health and addictions services coming to Perth-Wellington

The MPP for Perth-Wellington says the Ontario government is keeping their “promise to make mental health and addictions a priority.”
Randy Pettapiece says over $2.1 million is being provided to his riding for mental health and addiction services with the funding going to support child and youth mental health, enhancing opioids and addictions services and increasing the rent supplement for supportive housing.
The Ford government is providing $174 million in funding to address what they call the critical gaps in Ontario’s system and to support patients and families living with mental health and addictions challenges.
Some of the local groups and organizations include the Huron-Perth Centre for Children and Youth which will receive $93, 917 and the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance which will get $1.4 million.
