UPDATE #4: Suspect in hit and run turns herself in

Stratford Police report a suspect has been arrested after a fatal collision today in the Walmart parking lot on Ontario Street.

The 30-year old female resident of Stratford has not been named and charges are pending while police continue the investigation.

The driver of the Volkswagen Routan turned herself in to police at 4:30 this afternoon.

The vehicle has been seized and is now undergoing forensic examination.

The 63-year-old woman who was hit in the parking lot has died of her injuries.

The Stratford Police Service thanks the public for all of the assistance received throughout the afternoon and is grateful to see the community come together to help when a tragic incident such as this occurs.
