Stratford man faces impaired driving charge

Police say a Stratford man has been charged with impaired driving after nearly striking another vehicle.

Perth County OPP say an officer with the Highway Safety Division was on patrol on Highway 8, east of Stratford, around 7 o’clock last Thursday night when they saw a vehicle swerving in its lane and almost striking another vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped and police say the officer determined the driver was impaired and they were brought to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.

The 27-year-old driver faces charges including operation while impaired.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Stratford on July 15th.
