Woodstock to be well represented during NBA Finals

Our area will be well represented as the Toronto Raptors try and win their first NBA Championship in franchise history.

Along with many fans who may be making the trek to Toronto to take in the action will be Woodstock’s Eddie Hawkeswood who will be set up courtside where he will be working with the NBA TV, the official broadcast network of the National Basketball Association.

Hawkeswood is a Stage Manager for the Toronto Raptors and he says he normally works with the teams that are visiting the Scotiabank Arena to play the Raptors to help broadcast their games on television.

He says he’s learned a lot by watching the different crews that broadcast the games including NBA legend Charles Barkley.

“You have to be prepared for all that’s going to come with being a pro athlete, be able to withstand it or grow from it, and then still be successful.”

As for who will win the series, Hawkeswood is predicting the Raptors will win their first championship by defeating Golden State in seven games.
