Shriner’s Parade in Stratford means plenty of road closures

A head’s up if you’ll be travelling around Stratford this weekend.

A Shriner’s parade is planned for Saturday and it will be making its way from the Central Secondary School property off Worsley Street through the downtown core.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. and goes until 3 p.m.

In order to ensure the safety of participants and pedestrians, organizers say a number of road closures will be in place starting at 1:45 p.m., for the duration of the parade.

The following road closures will be in effect for the parade:

• Worsley St. from St. Vincent St. S to Birmingham St.
• Birmingham St. from Worsley St. to St. Patrick St.
• St. Patrick St. from Birmingham St. to Wellington St.
• Wellington St. from St. Patrick St. to Downie St.
• Downie St. from Albert St. to Douro St.
• George St. W. from St. Patrick St. to Downie St.
• Market Place from Wellington St. to Downie St.
• St. Patrick St. from Wellington St. to Downie St.
