Police in Stratford looking for dangerous driver

Police in Stratford are hoping the public can help them track down a dangerous driver.

Just before 2 o’clock Thursday morning, police say that a vehicle believed to be either a grey or green Pontiac Grand Am passed a police cruiser travelling at a high rate of speed, heading west on Huron Street.

Police say an officer attempted to stop the vehicle, however it didn’t stop as it continued out of the city heading north on Road 122.

Around an hour later, police say the vehicle was again seen on Huron Street, heading west out of the downtown with the driver honking the horn continuously.

The vehicle was last seen heading towards Sebringville on Highway 8.

Police say the vehicle’s license plate was obstructed with a dark cover and officers were unable to identify the vehicle or those inside it.

Anyone with any information on the vehicle or driver is asked to call Stratford Police or Crime Stoppers.
