West Perth man faces charges after police say he tried to bite officers

A 48-year-old West Perth man faces several charges after an incident in Sebringville that police say involved him trying to bite officers.

Around 7:30 Friday night, Sebringville OPP officers were called out to a report of an unruly male causing a disturbance at a community event.

Police say officers responded quickly and found an intoxicated man refusing to leave the Community Centre and when officers arrested him they say he tried to bite them.

He faces several charges including Causing a Disturbance, Resisting a Peace Officer and Assaulting a Peace Officer.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Saturday.
