Province to help with costs of upgrades to Lucan intersection

Funding for a major construction project in Lucan has been announced.

Ontario Minister of Infrastructure Monte McNaughton and Transportation Minister Jeff Yurek announced on Monday that the province will help pay for the costs of widening the roads at the intersection of Highway 4 and Saintsbury Line.

The work is slated to begin next year and it comes after many in that area have been calling for upgrades over the past few months.

The total cost of the project is estimated to come out to around just under $1 million with Lucan Biddulph and Middlesex County covering $300 thousand of that.
