Hog Jog set for Wednesday in Stratford

The hogs are set to jog in Stratford.

The 2019 Hog Jog takes place Wednesday night as part of the two-day Ontario Pork Congress with runners taking part in a 10-kilometre run, a 3.5-kilometre run or a 500-metre Weiner run for children 6 years old and younger.

All of the money collected through runners and donors this year will be going to L’Arche Stratford, which assists those with living disabilities.

L’Arche President Elaine Clark-Siberry says the money will go a long way in helping those who need it.

“We were able to purchase a new building at 426 Britannia which is the former Montessori school, we’re going to be converting that into a new home and looking at building independent living suites.”

The events get started at 6 p.m. at the Stratford Rotary Complex and you can still register before the races begin.
