It’s shaping up to be a great Canada Day long weekend weather wise.
Environment Canada is calling for sunny skies Saturday, Sunday and Canada Day Monday with the temperatures hovering around 27 degrees each day.
That means it will be a great long weekend to get out and enjoy and take in Canada Day festivities taking place from Stratford to New Hamburg.
Environment Canada Senior Climatologist David Phillips says it should be a long weekend to remember.
“It’s looking like perfect temperatures that have been the warmest we’ve seen since probably last September, wall to wall sunshine with no threatening weather in the way, and not just one day but all three days.”
Phillips adds the weather is also being welcomed by farmers who may find themselves behind in planting crops because of all of the rain that we’ve seen.
