Stratford Concerts in the Park set to begin for another summer

Another part of summer in Stratford is ready to get underway.

The first Kiwanis Club of Stratford 2019 Concert in the Park is set for Wednesday night with the Stratford Concert Band playing a free show at the bandshell in Upper Queens Park.

The concerts run on Wednesday and Sunday evenings from now until the end of August with the Stratford Concert Band playing every Wednesday.

Laurence Gauci is the Conductor with the Stratford Concert Band and he says they love putting on their summer performances.

“It’s a lovely bandshell to play in and it’s just wonderful to have so many people out, it’s not uncommon to see 5 to 700 people out in the audience each night, and it’s just to much fun to play for people who are there to enjoy the music.”

The concerts run from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
