Charges laid following fatal collision in Middlesex County that claimed life of Woodstock man

A 21-year-old faces several charges after a fatal collision that claimed the life of a Woodstock man.

Middlesex County OPP say they were called out to a three-vehicle crash on Hamilton Road, between Putnam Road and Breen Road, around 6:20 Monday night.

Police say that at the time of the collision, an eastbound vehicle had crossed over into the westbound lanes on a curve with the eastbound vehicle clipping a westbound vehicle, and then colliding with a westbound motorcycle.

They say the first vehicle struck suffered minor damage and the motorcycle suffered heavy damage.

The driver of the motorcycle, 40-year-old Andrew Ferguson from Woodstock, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

Police say the driver of the eastbound vehicle, Kareem Husseini, faces several charges including Impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
