“A chance for our rural communities to showcase our rich agricultural history and demonstrate some of our innovative farming practices.”

That’s what Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece says the 2020 Federal, Provincial, Territorial Agriculture Ministers Conference will offer now that Guelph has been announced as host.

Taking place next July, the theme of the conference will be Strong Agrifood: Strong Economy with officials saying that the event will highlight ways to help grow the Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector.

Guelph is also the home for the headquarters of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
