Ontario’s police watchdog called in to investigate incident in Huron East

Not many details are known but the province’s police watchdog is investigating a police related incident in Huron East.
5:30 p.m. last Friday, Huron County OPP say they assisted paramedics with an uncooperative person in Huron East.
Police say the person suffered an injury which required medical attention and they were transported to hospital.
The OPP notified Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit and they invoked their mandate with police saying they are now unable to give any more details on what happened.
The Special Investigations Unit is an arm’s length agency responsible for investigating circumstances involving police that have resulted in a death, serious injury, or allegations of sexual assault.
