Another annual part of summer is set to get started in Stratford.

Stratford Summer Music starts Monday night by lighting up the sky with their Grand Illumination which kicks off the multi-week festival that presents 100 events featuring over 350 artists.

The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. and they will be set to the sounds of Music for a Midsummer’s Night.

Stratford Summer Music Artistic Director Mark Fewer, in his first year in the role, says he’s excited to get things going.

“We’ve got about 100 events and for all ages, we’ve got a whole series for children including a show for children on the autistic spectrum, we’ve got things for people that are interested in folk, people that are into indie rock.”

The festival runs until August 25th.
