One person killed in collision northwest of Listowel

One person is dead after a collision involving a dump truck northwest of Listowel.

Around 7:30 Tuesday morning, Huron County OPP say they were called to the collision that also involved a pickup truck on Amberley Road, east of Perth Road 178, in Howick Turnberry.

The driver of the dump truck was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, with his identity being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police say the driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Amberly Road was closed between Perth Road 178 and Adams Line while investigators were on scene.
