BREAKING: Stratford Police charge man in relation to historic sexual assault

Stratford Police say a man has been charged in relation to a historic sexual assault.

In January, police say they received a request to conduct a review of a historical sexual assault which they say happened in 2002.

They say their initial investigation into the matter concluded with no charges being laid, however, after speaking with the victim and examining all of the evidence from the first investigation, they determined that charges could now be laid.

Roger Hilderley was arrested last Friday and charged with Sexual Assault and Overcoming Resistance to Commit an Indictable Offence.

He was later released from custody on conditions that he not communicate with the victim and he’s scheduled to appear in court in Stratford on August 19th.
