Fourth annual Vic Hayter Memorial Trot a success

It was another successful Vic Hayter Memorial Trot at the Clinton Raceway.
Organizers say the 4th annual edition of the trot, which took place Sunday, saw family and friends, along with horse racing enthusiasts, come together to honor the late hotelier and horseman who was well known in the Stratford area.
They say the total on track amount raised through raffles, a beef dinner and the fifty/fifty draw was $7 thousand with the funds going to supporting both the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society and the Stratford Perth Humane Society.
Sizzlen Hot Herbie also came away as the winning horse with the fastest mile time of the past three events with the handle on the day just short of $45 thousand.
