No injuries after small plane crashes in Oxford County

Police say there are no injuries after a plane crash in Oxford County.

First responders were called out to Brownsville Road in Brownsville around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon after they say a small aircraft had collided into a field with two people on board.

Police say their initial investigation determined the small aircraft was attempting to take off from a field when the pilot experienced mechanical issues that caused the plane to collide into the field.

Neither the 65-year-old male pilot nor the 63-year-old male passenger were injured.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada and the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre have taken over the investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
